The famous characters from Pazar, arguably the most vibrant attraction in Split, are getting a 21st-century upgrade through the Instagram account Harperspazaar.
If you’ve ever visited Split, you know that there are various establishments the city is known for. While attractions such as Diocletian’s palace and the Riva may be the cool kids on the block, we think that the markets are the true beating heart of the city.
One establishment in particular, the Pazar (or Green Market), is an overwhelming portrayal of the true Dalmatia. Visited by many locals and tourists that find themselves mesmerized by what is before them, the Split Pazar is where you’ll find the fruits of Dalmatia (literally) in the form of fresh produce and goods from the family farms in the area.
What really makes Pazar so special is the characters, and you’ll be sure to find them yelling your way to buy what they have on offer while using terms of endearment such as “come over to grandma’s table, sweet girl”.
