International Swimming Competition ”Golden Orlando” Organised by VK Jug

Dubrovnik’s VK (PK) Jug will organise an event which will host an international swimming event involving 360 people from seven countries.

Swimming and Water Polo have been one of the many sources of pride for this small Adriatic town. The first Water Polo team was founded back in the year 1923 and has since won very many domestic and international championships and trophies. Standing behind the actual sport are the swimmers and their ability to swim excellently, so this weekend, commencing at 15:00 on Saturday the 6th of May 2017 through to tomorrow, Sunday the 7th, the refurbished swimming pool of the Jug Water Polo Club will host an international gathering of 36o young competitors from 27 clubs from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania, Serbia and Montenegro. 

The swimmers will compete in five age groups and in 16 events.

”Golden Orlando” will begin today and close tomorrow, with finals and award ceremonies included, at 16:00.
