Fancy sampling some craft beer, being entertained by free concerts and eating good food? Look no further than Dubrovnik this June!
Craft beer has taken off like few other things in recent times in Croatia, with breweries popping up all over the country and people making enormous successes out of the business. As DuList reported on the 12th of May 2017, the first ever craft beer festival to come as far south as Dubrovnik will be held from the 9th of June to the 10th of June 2017.
From 17:00 to 01:00, Solitudo camp site (Babin Kuk) will be the place to be for tasting over thirty types of craft beer from 12 local micro-breweries. The festival aims to promote small local breweries and introduce local people as well as visitors to the wildly popular world of craft beer. As mentioned, Croatia is currently undergoing what could be called a craft beer revolution and the idea has taken the country by storm – the Dubrovnik Craft Beer Festival will be the first of its kind in the area.
As the organisers rightly say, it is of paramount importance to support small Croatian micro-breweries. On one hand, they create added value to the Croatian economy by generating new jobs and promoting self-employment. On the other hand, the art of craft beer enriches the Croatian gastronomical scene and the general tourist offer, making the country a more attractive destination both for domestic and foreign visitors of all kinds.
The upcoming craft beer festival is held under the support of Valamar Riviera and the Tourist Board of the City of Dubrovnik. Entrance to the festival and the concerts which will be held in accordance with it is free.
