More good news for anyone planning to sail in Croatia this summer: a new marina opened in Novi Vinodolski!
The latest addition to the great range of marinas in Croatia, Marina Muroskva opened on June 8, 2017 and has already seen multiple boats and yachts at berth, reports Burza Nautike.
The marina offers 180 wet berths for boats up to 15 metres in length, whereas larger boats and megayachts can be moored on both sides of the 240-metre-long breakwater. The pier has a permeable bed below the sea surface, allowing for the water to circulate freely and thus ensuring the sea water quality remains exceptionable at all times.
One of the many attractive features are the newly built hangars located three kilometres away from the marina, in the industrial zone of Novi Vinodolski. Clients can expect an all-around quality service – apart from dry berth storage during winter, the marina also offers maintenance care and engine repair in case of malfunction throughout the year.
The project was financed by the Swiss company Mitan Holding AG that invested more than 10 million euro into the marina, and the construction work was carried out by multiple Croatian companies. It’s worth mentioning most of the equipment and furniture was locally manufactured as well. If we add that the complex was designed by the company ZDL Arhitekti from Rijeka, it becomes clear the marina can rightfully be called a fantastic end product of various local businesses’ efforts.
Twenty newly employed professionals are already at work, and twenty more will soon be employed in the restaurant that’s opening in near future. The venue will supposedly host a branch of the famous Zagreb restaurant Tač, owned by Tihomir and Vesna Miletić; the restaurant in Marina Muroskva will sit 60 people on the terrace and another 60 in a fabulously designed interior. It opens in July and will remain open throughout the year, offering a unique chance to enjoy prestigious Mediterranean cuisine in an area that currently doesn’t dispose of many fine dining destinations.
Located in the northern part of the Adriatic, the picturesque Novi Vinodolski is a typical seaside town with a history going back to the Roman times. Its pleasant mild climate and rich cultural tradition led to the town becoming a popular destination in recent decades; along with multiple new hotels and other related facilities, the newly built Marina Muroskva is sure to become a crown jewel in the attractive tourist offer of Novi Vinodolski.
