Another fire has broken out on the island around 17:30, this time in central Hvar, close to the village of Vrbanj, acccording to early reports.
One local told us that the flames are higher than the trees, and locals are fighting the blaze with buckets of water, and trees are being felled, as vehicle access is proving difficult.
The fire seems to be located at the back of the village, towards Dol.
