Art Along the Coast: Street Art Festival ‘Graffiti na Gradele’ Starts Today

What do you get when you mix beautiful beaches, relaxed atmosphere, great music and street art? Graffiti Na Gradele!

 

The sixth edition of the ‘Graffiti na Gradele’ street-art festival will take place in Bol on Brač from Thursday 27th to Saturday 29th July, reports Dalmacija Danas.

Graffiti na Gradele is an international graffiti festival organised by a non-profit volunteer youth initiative aimed at gathering young graffiti artists and musicians from across the region in order to turn Bol into a small summer urban spot for creating, socializing, networking and cooperation. This year the festival returns stronger than ever with a jam-packed line-up of the best graffiti and street artists from Croatia and region, including Lonac, Lunar, Chez 186, Sarme, Artu Ditu, Modul Osam, Royal, Mane Mei, Hana, Artez, JUNK, Nikola Mihajlović, as well as some international names such as Andi Soto from Panama, Jace from Réunion Island, Sebas Velasco and Iñigo Sesma from Spain.

The festival will take place at various locations in Bol: Teatrin (Bol Cultural Center), Fabrika, a former fish factory and at an abandoned hotel complex called White House (Bijela kuća).

The three-day festival will also see live performances of musicians, mostly rappers, such as Dog’s Beach, a surf band from Zagreb, Edo Maajka, Kuku$ + High 5 + Buntai + Bore Balboa + VRH & Oreb,  Krešo Bengalka, Tone Tuoro & Marchello. DJs will be warming up the atmosphere as during the day in the day lounge area in White House overlooking the beautiful beach.

Thursday, July 27 –  Dog’s Beach

Friday, July 28 – KUKU$, High 5, VRH & Oreb, Bore Balboa, Buntai

Saturday, July 29 – Edo Maajka, Krešo Bengalka, Tone Tuoro & Marchello

This year’s program also includes workshops for kids, skateboard sessions, exhibitions, movie projections etc.
