Tourist season is at its peak.
This weekend has again brought us traffic jams on all the main motorways and border crossings in Croatia. The traffic is very dense on the roads in the direction towards the coast as well as towards the interior, reports HAK on 29 July 2017.
Traffic column at the Posedarje motorway junction in the direction towards Zagreb has grown to about 24 kilometres. Traffic is also moving very slowly between Lučko and Bosiljevo on the main motorway in the direction towards the coast.
Traffic column in from of the Lučko traffic plaza in the direction to Zagreb is about 4 km.
Long columns have also been reported on the A3 motorway towards Bajakovo (and Serbia), as well as towards Kaštel and Plovanija border crossings in Istria (6 km), on the Krk Bridge (about 4 km in both direction), and at the Učka Tunnel in the direction of Rijeka (4 km).
On the A4 Goričan-Zagreb motorway, there is a traffic column of about 500 metres at the Sveta Helena junction.
On the A7 Rupa-Diračje motorway, there is a column about 400 metres long in both direction in front of the Rupa exit.
Similar conditions are expected all weekend, given that tens of thousands of vehicles are bringing tourists to and from Croatian coast.
Heavy traffic has been reported from all ferry-ports and airports along the coast.
