One match postponed due to bad weather, is it to be the only one? It is round 26 of Croatian Football League
We have reported on one match postponed for Tuesday, and at least one more is in doubt, as stadium in Kranjceviceva street in Zagreb could be flooded. Here are all the games of round 26, most scheduled on March 5, 2016:
ZAGREB – LOKOMOTIVA – Zagreb – Saturday, 17.00 CET
There’s no hope Zagreb will stay in first division this season, and Lokomotiva needs a win to stay in the battle for Europa League qualifyers. Both teams use Zagreb’s stadium as a home venue, so the pitch is again to play a role in the game. It would not be a surprise if this match is postponed.
DINAMO – SLAVEN BELUPO – Zagreb – Sunday, 15.00 CET
Slaven Belupo is in a comfortable position, it is coming to Maksimir with nothing to lose while Dinamo is on a winning streak. Everything but three points for home team would be a big surprise.
RIJEKA – OSIJEK – Rijeka – Sunday, 17.00 CET
One to watch, as Rijeka will do everything to stay close to Dinamo, and the guests have done a lot in the previous match in Split, and they will try to repeat this success on Rujevica stadium.
SPLIT – ISTRA 1961 – Split – Monday, 18.00 CET
Split has lost two games in a row, and even though loses came against Dinamo and Rijeka, home team will be desperate to get back on winning tracks. For Istra, every point is golden, and they will be hoping to stay unbeaten in Split.
INTER – HAJDUK – Zaprešić – Tuesday, 17.00 CET
Inter is in a great form, along with Dinamo they are the best Croatian team in 2016, with three wins, and one draw since the competition was resumed after the winter break. Hajduk is in a huge result crisis, and again missing more than a few crucial players. Delay of the game could come in handy for Hajduk team, giving them more time to prepare for the game, and for getting their minds off the shocker against Osijek.
