Craving some good tunes? We’ve got you covered – just head to Pula!
We’ve just announced the BRAZZ festival that’s about to take place on Brač island on August 13 and 14. What if you’re a jazz lover, but Brač is just a bit too far away for you these days?
Worry not, for we have a solution for each of your problems, at least when it comes to drawing your attention to a rich palette of cultural events on the Croatian coast. In case you’re staying in Istria, you might want to spend your Sunday evening at Kaštel in Pula – the fortress located on top of a hill in the city centre.
Kaštel fort houses the Historical and Maritime Museum of Istria, whose central space will serve as a gorgeous outdoor venue for a concert of JazzIstra Orchestra. The 16-member Big band will play a selection from the opus of the legendary Istrian rocker Franci Blašković, with soloist Alba Nacinovich presenting her own interpretation of Franci’s unique style of vocal performance.
Judging by the forecast, we’re up for a lovely warm evening in Pula. Is there a better way to spend a summer night than at a jazz concert under the stars? The show starts at 21:00, and the tickets can be bought at the entrance for 40 kuna a piece.
