UPDATE
Jutarnji list reports that Mr Mamić was shot upon leaving the chapel after the mass for his late father in Zidine, while he was with 40 other members of his family. Two masked attackers started shooting as soon as he stepped out of the chapel, shooting him in his upper leg, but the bullet didn’t hit the bone.
The attackers ran away afterwards, and the police closed off the city in order to look for the two suspects.
After Mr Mamić’s gunshot wound was treated at Tomislavgrad medical centre and the medical team led by Dr Vladimir Tabak stopped the bleeding, the doctors advised him to go to KBC Split for further treatment, but, according to medical centre director Dr Ivan Bagarić, he refused and headed to Zagreb instead.
