In the election organized by the European Football Federation (UEFA) and the voices of football enthusiasts around the world, Croatian representative Mario Mandžukić has won UEFA’s “Goal of the Season” for the 16/17 year!

In the final of the Champions League in Cardiff, Mandžukić’s brilliant strike shocked Madrid Real Madrid in the first half as the goal gave Juventus temporary equalization in the match (1-1).

Juventus, unfortunately, could not keep their momentum against the Champions League titleholder, and fellow Croatian representatives for Real Madrid, Luka Modrić and Mateo Kovačić, walked away with their second consecutive title after winning 4-1 instead.
Mandžukić’s competed against Marco Asensio, Casemiro, Kevin Friesenbichler, Moussa Sow, Jordi Mboula and Daniela Sabatino to win the best goal.
