Zrinka Kramer is a young Split illustrator whose phenomenal memes have overwhelmed social networks.
If you ever came across ”Greatest hihits” while drowning yourself in hours of social media binges, it’s safe to say that you probably had a laugh. It’s okay; we did too.
Because it is also safe to say that we have quickly become fans of these comic illustrations ourselves, we yearned to find the muse behind the giggle-inducing creations. Thanks to Buro 247, we now have. Meet Zrinka Kramer.
Zrinka Kramer, a 24-year-old student in Split, is the brain behind the witty work that highlights the everyday problems of Generation Y, er, millennials.
An incredibly talented illustrator, Kramer pushed her conceptions under the alias “Greatest Hihits” – a name that stimulated from Kramer’s early work which was inspired by the compositions of songwriters, and particularly their “Greatest hits”. And “hihi”? That was known as the author’s buzzword.
Kramer’s drawings are perceived as creative valves facilitating expression, and the artist’s “handmade memes” are a fresh alternative to the overproduced and basic memes created by special programs today.
Kramer’s inspiration is found in everyday situations, in lyrics, and in popular tv shows, and indeed, after looking at her work, you’ll probably never look at bread, moles, or working out the same again.
