Croatian Football League, Day 27 Review

Total Croatia News

Four games finished with 1-0 result, only Dinamo and Lokomotiva played a game with more goals

It was yet another round characterised by poor attendance, some 10 thousand spectators in all the games combined, and more than half of that number attended the Hajduk – Zagreb match on March, 13. 2016. Strikers were not too efficient, four games were decided by a single goal, and two of those four were penalty kicks.

On Friday, Osijek got a big win against Inter and is now two points ahead of Istra on the table. Slaven Belupo lost their fourth game out of six played this year, and they are not looking good at the moment, as Osijek and Istra are not so far away anymore, and if they do not get some points in next few games, they could end up in the relegation position.

Split winning against Slaven Belupo got them to the desired fourth place on the table, as Lokomotiva was playing against Dinamo, and those points were to be won by Dinamo, even if it looked for a while like Lokomotiva was close to a draw. Rijeka played in Pula, against struggling Istra, the win was secured by a great goal by Marin Tomasov.

In the last match, Hajduk won against Zagreb, scoring from what looked like a harshly awarded penalty. Hajduk players were not playing a great game, but enough for the win, which is to bring some peace to the locker room in the week of two matches against Dinamo.

Here are all the results, and the league table;
