The energy package covering Zagreb-Karlovac-Ozalj presented as a new tourist product intended for domestic and foreign visitors.
2016 is the year the world celebrates the 160th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla, genius innovator born in Croatia. To celebrate this occasion Zagreb, Karlovac, and Ozalj Tourist Boards have prepared a new tourist route and presented it on March 23 2016.for the occasion starting July 7. 2016.
Tours will start on July 7, and the program starts in Zagreb, with a presentation about Nikola Tesla’s life, taking you then to Karlovac, to Tesla’s high school, where this genius got his only degree. After visiting his school, the visitors can enjoy walking trough parks on a path to the Korana river, and its waterfalls, Tesla’s endless source of inspiration where his first ideas of harnessing the power of the Niagara falls were born
The route finishes in Ozalj, ancient Croatian city, home to famous Croatian historical characters. Nearby is power plant Ozalj, one of oldest in Europe that includes many of Tesla’s inventions. It is a beautiful walk trough nature to get there, as it was Tesla who was teaching the importance of daily walking.
To end it all, organizers will stage a dance show “…and light, and water, and life only“ which was inspired by Tesla’s life.
