It is lovely to see a Chinese reality show where Chinese cheer ‘Živjeli’ (cheers) in harmony with the guests they invited from Croatia, toasting with Croatian sparkling wine opened with a sabre by Zagreb caterer and hotelier Zlatko Puntijar, Gastronaut.hr wrote on December 17, 2017.
Zlatko Puntijar is the owner of the restaurant and hotel Puntijar, who took part together with his daughter Matea in the show Tian Tian Xiang Shang, broadcasted by Hunan TV, and watched by over 300 million Chinese. Along with the demonstration of a sabre decorking, he cooked and introduced to the Chinese traditional Croatian meals during the filing in the Changsha town, with recipes chosen from the largest private collection of old cook books in Europa, found in his Gastronomy Museum Puntijar. The pride of the Puntijar Museum is the smallest cook book in the world, “Wiener Kochbuch” (21x24mm in size).
Meals presented by Puntijar in China can be tasted in his restaurant Stari Puntijar, along with many other historical specialties, certainly something on the to do list for the show winner who was awarded a trip to Croatia.
Along with Matea and Zlatko Puntijar, guests of the show were Ana Rucner, Maksim Mrvica, Miroslav Ćiro Blažević, Lana Jurčević, Jelena Rozga, Croatian Ambassador in China Nebojša Koharović and the Xiaoting Chen-Li family, owners of the Asia restaurant in Zagreb.
The entire show was dedicated to Croatia, and can be viewed online. The presentation of Croatian cuisine begins in the 73rd minute.
The show’s premiere was on December 15, and on the same evening when Croatian meals were presented in China, they were enjoyed by members of the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writer (FIJET) in the Stari Puntijar restaurant.
