Almost a year to the day we wrote about their previous game, “Viktor, a Steampunk Adventure”, an innovative and creative team of the Studio Spektar from Zagreb has started another Indiegogo campaign to help them create another one of their crazy games.
“General Horse and the Package of Doom” (link to their Indiegogo! campaign) is a live action full motion video space adventure with resource management similar to Oregon Trail and FTL. In this game, our sexy space hero General Horse, the last surviving military postman in the galaxy, manages his resources in order to survive and deliver a mysterious package across a dangerous solar system. It’s a space adventure! It’s a resource management survival sim! It’s the biggest technological breakthrough that the 1990s had to offer! It’s like Oregon Trail, but like a SF film! It’s a movie, but also a video game!
Join our hero, the Postmaster General, on his dangerous voyage throughout his home solar system. He will fight, explore, barter, scavenge, and beg, just to deliver a package he knows nothing about! Help him deliver the Package of Doom!
The developers of the game point out that the experience they intend to create in this game requires a huge number of recorded and edited movie scenes, which makes production rather expensive. The money collected through the Indiegogo campaign will go towards being able to invest the next 6 months needed to create this project, music, software licenses and covering all the costs involved with creating and publishing a video game and movie.
If you have had the chance to play Viktor, you know what a joyride the game from this studio can be (if not, now is the right time to do it!), and this game promises to be even bigger and better, so for now take a look at the game’s trailer and see for yourself what you might be supporting:
