Another holiday weekend is upon us in Split, and with the feeling of spring finally in the air, as you would expect, there is plenty going on to get you out of the house and into the thick of the new season.
If you’re not big on celebrating Easter, don’t feel like planning anything for Easter this year, or want to do all you possibly can to celebrate the spring holiday, know that in Split, you can find something to do for everyone. And if this warm weather keeps up, we think we can convince even the most hesitant of the anti-holiday crowd to get out and get into the spirit this year.
Here’s a look at the upcoming events you, your family and friends can enjoy during the busy Easter weekend.
March 28th at 09:35: Humanitarian Ride of the Easter Train “Zeko-Express”
HZPP, in cooperation with TZG Split, organizes a ride for children with special needs on the Split – Kaštel Stari – Split route. In the company of the joyful Zeke, children will be given sweet gifts donated by KRAŠ. The train will drive the children and their attendants from the Split Education and Training Center “Juraj Bonaći”.
March 28th to March 29th: Riva – Easter Egg Coloring
See the traditional painting of Easter eggs on Split’s waterfront promenade! For all the children, citizens and tourists in Split, this event is made possible by the cooperation with the Association of Veterans’ Section of Artists. The installations can be seen every day from 10 am to 2 pm.
Note: In the event of bad weather, the artists will hold the workshops at the association’s studio at Šižgorićeva 1.
March 31st to April 8th: Đardin “Joy of Easter in Đardin”
On the occasion of the Christian holiday, on Saturday, March 31st, at 11 am, an Easter program will be held in the center of the town at Đardin Park. Đardin this Easter will be decorated with luminous figures and decorations that have been made by the valuable hands of COO Juraj Bonači and the artists from the Association of Split City War Veterans. The forces united between the Split Tourist Board, the Association of Split City War Veterans’ and the Juraj Bonači Education Center made this Easter celebration possible for all Split people and tourists.
April 1st: Easter Breakfast – “Delicious Easter Morning”
Enjoy a free and open Easter breakfast with a unique program at Prokurative. All citizens are invited!
April 2nd: “ItaliaFest Fair” (02.04 – 08.04.) at Prokurative
The opening of the highly anticipated “ItaliaFest” fair will take place, presenting the products of Italy, with tastings, beginning from Easter Monday. ItaliaFest will last through April 8th.
