The second spring food and wine festival on the island of Korčula will begin this weekend under the organization of the Korčulanske Pjatance association.
The second edition of the spring festival of food and wines, ‘Korčulanske Pjatance’, will be held on Korčula and the surrounding towns from April 27 to May 5, 2018. The festival is organized by the association of the same name and brings together the renowned gastronomy of the island.
The biggest names in the Korčula gastronomic scene, including restaurants Adio Mare, Aterina, Barić, Filippi, Korčula De la Ville, LD Restaurant, Marco’s, Nonno, Radiona, Konoba Maha and Konoba Mate,along with the producers of ecological and traditional products, OPG Eko škoj, all under the organization of association ‘Korčulanske Pjatance’, will offer a combination of traditional and modern products through a variety of food and beverages in harmony with the seasonal delights of the Adriatic gardens below and above the sea.
A very successful festival last year provided the foundation for new and creative menus explicitly designed for this occasion, which will be offered on Korčula from April 27 to May 5 at promotional prices. There will also be numerous workshops with guest chefs such as David Skoko and pastry expert Petra Jelenić.
Just 12 kilometers away from Korčula, across the picturesque village of Žrnovo to the charming town of Pupnat, Michelin, the most prestigious global gastronomic guide and a synonym for culinary excellence, also shared three recommendations this year (LD Restaurant, Filippi and Konoba Mate).
This year’s edition of the festival will present a more vibrant program based on the promotion of the island and the variety of its offer, inluding traditional recipes with a modern twist, all with the desire to contribute to the local community by defining Korčula as a unique destination for gastronomy and oenology.
