Good news for one Vinkovci company as sales growth increases and the entrance onto new markets brings encouragement.
The production at both of Dilj’s facilities in Našice continued throughout the winter period, suggesting that sales are going very well.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 23rd of April, 2018, the tile and brick company Dilj d.o.o. which celebrated its 95th anniversary last year, did business which rose above all expectations back in 2017 and, according to its director, Dražen Ivezić, excellent sales growth has been achieved for the fourth year in a row, most encouragingly of all, that has taken place on new markets as well as the domestic one.
While most of the goods produced by this old company are sold either here in Croatia or in neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, new markets, such as those of Albania and Kosovo, have recently taken a great interest.
”Growth was particularly significant on the markets of Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, Kosovo and Albania, which were new markets opened up to us in late 2016.
Accordingly, the growth of revenues and profits was above what was planned. The pay was also very good, so we were successful in executing all of our financial obligations towards our employees, our suppliers, and financial institutions. Particularly worthy of note is the growth of the sale of block bricks from the IGM Našice Plant, which Dilj hired in the process of bankruptcy, and where forty workers are employed.
We plan to purchase this facility in its bankruptcy proceedings and continue manufacturing, as well as save jobs. When the volume of production is concerned, the planned quantities have been acheived, along with the fact that the production of the new raw material in Operation 1, in Dilj, required adjustments in its processes, as well as several industrial tests which were carried out during the year.
Production from both facilities in Našice has continued throughout the winter period, which indicates that sales are going very well,” noted Ivezić, adding that Dilj has achieved a quality level that meets all of the European standards in the last ten years, and boasts the most modern technology for producing some of the best tiles.
