Hotels, beaches and the accompanying infrastructure in Poreč will be ready for the season
The Istrian city of Poreč is one of the leading construction sites on the Adriatic at the moment, regarding the scope, number, significance and value of all the investments that are getting realised as we speak. All the construction sites that are currently buzzing with activity, be it in the city or its surroundings, are the result of several investments by the public and private sectors, worth half a billion kuna in total, reports Glas Istre on April 26, 2018.
The leading projects are coming to life in the villages of Špadići and Materada, which are housing the most valuable investment of the year. The new Hotel Park, owned by the hotel group Plava Laguna, started taking shape in October 2017 and is worth some 260 million kuna.
Not far from the new hotel, the City of Poreč is currently putting the finishing touches on the beach in Materada, located below the camp bearing the same name. The beach, some 160 metres long, is getting a new sunbathing area, a promenade, dressing rooms and a revamped wooden pier. Another stretch of the coast situated nearby is getting a makeover thanks to Valamar Riviera, another major hotel group which is currently touching up the beach below their Hotel Pinia.
And to top it off, Istarski vodovod is carrying out four projects they set in motion in March – the renovation, construction and modernisation of the water supply system in the city. The tourist season is rapidly approaching, and any improvements to the existing infrastructure can only be considered good news. Bravo, Poreč!
