Korčula Town Library “Ivan Vidali” has recently started a new program, aimed at both young and adult people of Korčula and their guests – board game nights!
They’re inviting you to join them for an evening with board games, instead of spendind the night in the virtual world (or in some bar, restaurant or club in Korčula). Every Friday, from 5 pm, they will welcome you to join them in playing chess, Monopoly, Scrabble, Alias, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Carcassonne, 5 Seconds, Port Roya , Ticket to Rid , Village, and other board games.
The program started this spring, in May, and has been taking place ever since. In June they expanded their selection of games, playing King of Tokyo and Port Royal, and in July they went full-zombie, with Zombicide Season 3 : Rue Morgue, a co-operative game in which the players take on the roles of the survivors of the zombie apocalipse, and work together to survive.
If you’re a board game fan and would like to spend some time playing with the same-minded group, we’re sure that the crowd at Korčula Town Library “Ivan Vidali” would welcome you, and help you get over any possible language barriers you might encounter while playing board games – but, let’s be honest, a glass or two of Grk, Pošip or Rukatac and all language barriers are sure to fall!
