Facebook Looking to Hire Croats Living in Ireland

Total Croatia News

The main condition is that candidates know the Croatian market, society, culture and language.

If you use Facebook, you may have seen their promotional advertisement in recent days in which the social network is looking for new employees – specifically Croats. However, Facebook has not opened a branch in Croatia to employ the local population. The jobs being opened are located in a city to which a large number of Croats has already moved, and that is Dublin in Ireland, reports Bug on July 30, 2018.

The position reserved for Croats is called a Market Specialist, part of the team called Market Operations. The primary task of this team is to identify and resolve cases in which Facebook’s policies have been violated, thereby building trust and improving user experience at the social network. Potential employees will be tasked with reviewing customer reports of malicious content, solving user account problems, data analysis, and similar tasks.

Because of this, Facebook is looking for people who are fully acquainted with the situation in Croatia, current events, society and culture, the typical behaviour of users, and are fluent in both English and Croatian. In addition, it is necessary to have a bachelor’s or master’s diploma, more than two years of work experience, and the ability to think strategically and analytically.

Glassdoor reports that the gross annual salary (with bonuses) for this position is about 41,000 euro (about 2,600 euro net).
