An explosion in Split has resulted in injuries.
As Index writes on the 10th of September, 2018, an explosion at around 17:20 occured today on Spinčićeva street in Split, in a building across the street from Firule Hospital.
Emergency help, police and firefighters were immediately on the ground.
As Index was told by Split police, information on the explosion was received at 17:20.
There was an explosion, they say from the police, during some construction work. Two people were injured in the explosion, firefighters dealt with the flames, after which medical help arrived to attend to the injured individuals.
It seems that the explosion occurred during the repair of an outdoor air conditioning unit of a residential building, and as yet the extent of the injuries to the two individuals harmed remains unknown.
The repairs were being carried out by workers, and the first unofficial information suggests that the blast occurred during welding.
The police have been looking for witnesses to the event.
