Which Croatian footballer earns the most? And who may not be bringing in a pretty penny? Here’s our look at Croatia’s top 10 highest-paid footballers.
Did you know that Zlatko Dalić’s list of players against Spain and England is worth 445 million euro, making Croatia the 11th most expensive national team in the world?
Through Transfermarkt, the renowned German portal specializing in transfers, has ranked the World Cup finalists as more expensive than Uruguay, Denmark, Colombia, and Poland. In front of Croatia, for example, is Portugal (thanks, Ronaldo), the Netherlands, and Argentina – and the world’s most expensive team is the 2018 World Cup winner… France (1.25 billion euro).
But, who are the most expensive Croatian footballers? But would you believe us if we told you that Luka doesn’t even make the top five? And even more interestingly, his value fell to half since 2017?
You probably still wouldn’t believe us if we told you that that four of Croatia’s players in their mid-20’s even rank ahead of the Ballon d’Or favorite. Yes, we promise it’s true.
