An incredible international football tournament will take place in Dugopolje from March 28 to 31, 2018.
For 14 consecutive years, NK “Adriatic” from Split, also known as the Franko Bogdan football academy in Split and its surroundings, has organized an international children’s tournament called “First Steps”. It is one of the best children’s football tournaments in this part of Europe, and tournaments feature a selection of domestic and foreign football clubs from the 2006 to 2010 age groups. This year, the competition will take place on football pitches in Split, Dugopolje and Klis.
For the most exciting part of the tournament, the tournament finals for the 2006 age group will be held on the auxiliary and primary field of the SC “Croatian Knights” in Dugopolje. NK Dugopolje (2006) will open the tournament on Wednesday, March 28th at 16:00 with the Italian team from Rome, and on Friday, March 30th, at 9:00, against Bulgarian representative PFC Botev from Plovdiv. The quarterfinals are scheduled on Friday, March 30th in the afternoon and the semi-finals, the match for the 3rd place and the final will be played on Saturday, March 31st in the morning at the main football pitch in Dugopolje.
The other clubs visiting Dugopolje are Red Bull from Salzburg, Slovakia’s Trenčin and NK Osijek. This will undoubtedly be the strongest tournament with the most amount of participants to date.
The Croatian National Tourist Board, the County of Split-Dalmatia, the City of Split, the Klis Municipality and the Tourist Board of the Dugopolje Region have supported this sporting event.
