Head to Dugopolje this weekend for the second annual Vranjača cup!
Vranjača cup 2017, the second edition of this mini-handball tournament, will be held on Saturday, May 20th, from 9 am. Organized by the Handball Club of Dugopolje and the Tourist Board of Dugopolje, the tournament will take place by the church in Kotlenica near the Vranjača cave, a protected geomorphological natural monument.
The tournament is organized for boys born in 2007 and younger. On this occasion, matches will be played on a landscaped grassy field just 100 meters away from the entrance to the Vranjača cave. The tournament will host the teams: RK Metković 1963, RK Solin, RK Jadro, RK Split, RK Kamičak Sinj, RK Olimpija, RK Mini sunce Biograd, RK Opus, RK Jerkovac, RK Hvar and RK Balić-Metličić.
The finals of the tournament will begin at 14:00, and an exhibition match will be played between the seniors of RK Solin and RK Split at 17:30.
The special guest of the tournament will be famous Croatian handball player and gold medalist in Atlanta 1996, Zlatko Saračević, who will award the winning teams.
Every contestant of the tournament will enjoy a party in the countryside and take a visit to Vranjača the cave. In the event of bad weather, the tournament will be moved into the school hall in Dugopolje.
