Premium Wines – Premium Story

Total Croatia News

Updated on:

At the end of September the G.E.T. society held a presentation of premium brands of Kutjevo cellars. This time we combined wines with food made by Sandra Nedeljko, chef and owner of restaurant-pension Mamica from Pušćina in Međimurje. The presentation was led by our renown sommelier, Aleksandar Noršić.

The aim of this presentation was to present to members of the press premium wines of Kutjevo cellars they already know, but diverting their attention to the fact they are wines of special geographical locations, created with a lot of love and in small numbers.

For the restaurant-pension Mamica this was a first public appearance in front of a larger press audience and it turned out as a hit and we believe many of you will soon visit their restaurant.

The pleasure and experience was completed by the young moderator Šimu Miloš and talented young artist Lana Škrgatić who presented her skills on the saxophone, keyboard and flute.

This all took place in the wonderful, newly discovered place Cukorek Melin beneath Zagreb’s mountain.

Menu:

Welcome drink: Maximo Brut, champagne that combines great with food and is also an excellent aperitif.

1. Maximo Brut

2. Graševina de Gotho

3. Turković  Graševina

The evening’s suprise were two ice harvest wines – Graševina and Traminac.

Restaurant-pension Mamica

Boarding house Mamica is a family-run pension and restaurant in Pušćina in Međimurje, whose goal is to preserve old customs and meals, save them from oblivion with a tiny degree of modern technology. They use top grade ingredients, partnered by local family farms. Restaurant-pension Mamica was opened in 2008 and within a year was classified among top 100 restaurants in Croatia by the Gastronaut Club.

Cukorek Melin

Cukorek Melin is a space full of elegance, but connected to nature in such a way it stimulates in us the finest line of hedonism and love. It stands on the eastern slopes of Medvednica mountain, along the edge of the Nature Park, in Gorščica street (Bidrovec). It’s an estate traversed by Bidrovec stream, composed of a wooden house with a mill and wine cellar, a gazebo, bowling ground, lake and 2.000 m2 of pure nature.

Premium brands of Kutjevo cellars

The premium brands of Kutjevo cellars are de Gotho and Maximo as well as Turković Graševina produced in small and quite limited numbers.

These are exclusive wines, for consumers looking for a wine to provide all of its beauty of fragrance and taste – wines to be enjoyed. Naturally, it’s important to point out the wines have received multiple awards in world and domestic competitions.

These wines cannot be bought in shopping malls but exclusively in restaurants and specialized shops as well as in the new Svijet Vina chain of wine stores opened by Kutjevo d.d. in several locations in Zagreb, at markets.

“A melt of tradition and contemporary, fast lifestyle was achieved through comfortable and warm ambience, making the visitors always welcome. In the sense of the above, as primary locations for our wine stores we chose markets, traditionally places of tasting. Just by visiting a market the senses are enticed to enjoy, and being places of gathering, no better place for the experience we wish to achieve with this project”, as stated by Kutjevo d.d.

After a recently opened wine store at Jarun market, a new one is set to open at Gajnice market.
