In honor of the Croatian Army’s liberation operation ‘Summer ’95,’ a memorial horse caravan was held in Sinj over the weekend. The event was organized by the Association of Juvenile Volunteers of the Homeland War in Split-Dalmatia County.
Led by flag-bearers who carried the flags of the 4th Guards Brigade, the 2nd Battalion “Cro Angels,” the 1st HGZ, the 126th Brigade, the 9th Battalion HOS, and many other associations of the Homeland War, horsemen from several equestrian clubs throughout the Cetina region gathered for the memorial horse caravan which began from the Sinj Hippodrome.
In honor of this great Croatian Army operation during the Homeland War which liberated the area around Glamoča and Bosansko Grahovo, thus removing the obstacles to finally liberate Lika and Dalmatia during Operation Storm, the horsemen rode through the Sinj fields, and along the Cetina and Vojskova in the Hrvace fields.
Precisely around Privoz, the riders from Sinj were joined by another group of horsemen, and all participants were welcomed and thanked for their participation by the Sinj Mayor Kristina Križanac.
The caravan then continued to Hrvace, Panj, Rumin, Bitelić, Vučipolje, and Zasiok, and on to the finish line in Dabar.
The event was supported by the Tourist Board of Sinj and co-organized by Equestrian Club Sv Mihovil.
