No Fireworks in Sinj this Year – Kubura Instead

As a part of the “Advent in Sinj”, the city of Sinj has prepared an outdoor New Year´s Eve celebration – everyone is welcome.

According to Ferata.hr, the festivities will start in the early evening hours at the Promenade of Alojzije Stepinac (Šetalište Alojzija Stepinca), where mulled wine, sausages and fritule will be available for the visitors to enjoy. Song Killers will be entertaining the guest from 21.30 until 23.30, when the Sinj band Stella will take over to ensure a smooth transition into the New Year.

The Sinj mayor Kristina Križanac informed the Ferata.hr website, that there will be no fireworks at midnight this year, but instead the sounds of the kubura gun will dominate the promenade.

“Because of this very special year, when we celebrated the 300th Alka tournament. Accordingly, the shoots of the kubura guns will mark the arrival of the New Year”, said Križanac.
