On June 5, 2018, Sinj hosted the team of Russian National Television who recorded the tourist program “Putevie Sovety” in the Inland Dalmatian city.
As part of the constant tourist promotion of the region, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, in cooperation with the local tourist community, welcomed the arrival of Marka Bogatyreva, a famous Russian theater and film actor and director, along with members of the Russian television crew, Arntgolts Tatiana, Sitnikov Valentin, Lusins Edgars, Zhitomirskaia Anna (Editor-in-Chief) and Andreev Vasily (Producer). The TV crew arrived accompanied by Rajko Ružička, director of HTZ’s representative office in Moscow.
The purpose of the visit was to film the tourist offer of cities in Split-Dalmatia County including Split, Solin, Hvar, Trogir, Omiš, and Sinj. The episode will be broadcast on the 1st National Television Program of Russia as part of the program ”Putevie Sovety” with over 7 million viewers. This show is dedicated to familiarizing Russian citizens with the world’s charms and attractions. Through two parts, which will be broadcast in early and late July, visitors will be introduced to the rich cultural and natural heritage of Sinj.
Director of the Sinj Tourist Board, Monika Vrgoč, welcomed the guests upon their arrival. To present the tourist potential of Sinj, the group visited the Museum of the Sinj Alka with the museum manager Boris Filipović-Grčić. The group then toured the Sikirica Gallery with the director of KUS, Vitomir Perić, and learned about the current exhibition at the gallery titled “Stipe Sikirica: Between the Private and Public”, which was presented by gallery manager Dragana Modrić.
This was followed by a visit to the Sinj Hippodrome where, despite bad weather, the Russian TV crew welcomed the Alka Duke Boško Ramljak. The TV crew visited Alka ergela horses and filmed with last year’s winner of the 302nd Sinj Alka, Alen Poljak, and Alkar andAlajčuš Ivica Filipović Grčić.
The filming continued at the Sinj Fortress for a panoramic view of the natural, sporting, economic and cultural attractions of Sinj.
