As part of “Days of Alka and the Assumption”, gallery Galiotović will host the exhibition ‘Vlak bez voznog reda – sinjska veza’ (Train without a schedule – the Sinj connection). The exhibition is jointly organized by the Cultural and Artistic Center of Sinj and the Croatian Cultural Association “HKD Vladimir Nazor”. The exhibition will be held from July 29-30.
This year marks 70 years from the beginning of Croatian population colonization (1946) from the Dalmatian hinterland, Banija, Lika, Kordun, Herzegovina and other parts of the former Yugoslavia in Vojvodina and Slavonia.
HKD V. Nazor, institutions and associations of the Croatian national minority in Serbia – with the support of the Croatian Embassy in Serbia, have marked this event through a series of programs and events.
Following last year’s achievement in cooperation between the City of Sinj, the Cultural and Artistic Center of Sinj and HKD V. Nazor, this year a visit was organized by Croats from Vojvodina to present their works in Sinj during the Days of the Alka and the Assumption.
Tonight at gallery Galiotović, an exhibition will display the works of late artist Ivana Gundića Ćise (painter). The program will also display folklore from the Cetina region. The program will begin at 20.30h.
On Saturday beginning at 11h on the top floor of the Gallery Sikirica, there will be a presentation by Ph. D.. Maria Bare, who has just published a paper titled “The participation of Croats in the federal colonization of Vojvodina 1945-1948”. After the presentation, organized by the president of HKD V. Nazor and the acting director of the Newspaper Publishing Croatia from Subotica, Ivan Karan will present NIU Croatia (newspapers, books and other publications).
The entire program was organized with the support of the City of Sinj and Split-Dalmatia County.
