June 9, 2019 – In the Trilj City Park, the 9th Festival of Folklore kicked off the 2019 Trilj summer program! The event was organized by the Association KUD of Split-Dalmatia County and the Tourist Board of Trilj on Saturday evening.
At the festival, 15 cultural and artistic societies from Split-Dalmatia County participated, including KUD Brodosplit – Split, KUD Kvadrilja – Trogir, KUD Salona – Solin, KUD Ante Zaninović – Kaštel Kambelovac, KUD Dalmacija – Dugi rat, KUD Branimir 888 Muć – Muć, KUD Glavice – Glavice, KUU Mosor – Gata, KUU Andrija Matijaš Pauk – Marina, KUD Župa Grab – Grab, KUD Dikovača – Zmijavci, KUU Milan Begović – Vrlika, KUD Pleter – Dugopolje, HFD Jadro – Solin and KUDŽ Filip Dević – Split.
The Trilj City Park became the center of the gathering which saw 400 participants who, in their own way, presented the cultural heritage of their region. The visitors did not hide their enthusiasm.
Before the very beginning of the program, a parade was held which truly provided a divine picture of the diversity of the cultural heritage of Split-Dalmatia County.
At the end of the evening, Marijana Botić Rogošić, a member of the organizing committee of the SKUD, thanked all the KUDs who responded to this request, and the City of Trilj, which has also shown what it means to be a good host.
“Many thanks to everyone who in any way helped to make this event happen in the best possible way,” said Andriana Ivkovic, director of the Trilj Tourist Board.
