Fine dining: Klarisa Restaurant

Total Croatia News

Nestled in the very heart of the Old Town, near the Great Onofrio Fountain, this restaurant is a converted atrium of the former monastery of St. Claire that dates back to the 13th century. With the arrival of the Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806 all convents for women in Dubrovnik were closed, among them the convent of St. Claire (the well-known Klarisas) which was turned into a stable and an ammunition warehouse.

Famed for using only local ingredients and serving only the best fish from the local fishermen, along with the meat and vegetarian dishes, a team of great sous-chefs led by the chef Stjepo Cvjetković will turn your visit into an unforgettable experience.

Local ingredients are bought at the green market in Gruž, fruits and vegetables come from eco-farm in Konavle and the meat is purchased from farms in western Croatia, known as Slavonia.
