”Dubrovnik”, the regatta cruiser of Orsan Sailing Club, will partake at the World Sailing Championship, which will be held from July the 3rd to July the 8th, 2017 near the northern Italian city of Trieste.
“For the first time in our 85 year history, JK Orsan is participating in this world championship with its own vessel. We grabbed this opportunity as this year’s competition is being held in the Adriatic Sea, and who knows when it will come back to the Mediterranean. We’re ready and we will be happy to compete alongside 150 boats from all around the world, divided into three groups of 50 vessels” says JK Orsan’s President Marinko Mikulandra for DuList.
It is expected that the crew of ”Dubrovnik” will gather on Thursday in Trieste, with the very first regatta training and measurements beginning that weekend. The crew consists of Tonči Kordić, Denis Vukas, Davor Dužević, Gordan Sentić, Ivo Kvestić, Maroje Kurajica, Orsat Vukas and Mateo Andolšek.
”We are certainly honoured that in such a competition, amongst so many high class ships, we can represent our city” concluded Mikulandra.
