Blue Flag to Fly at Valamar Dubrovnik President Beach for 2017

Lauren Simmonds

The internationally recognised flag will fly on Valamar Dubrovnik President’s beach once again this year.

The Blue flag is a globally recognisable sign of ecological acknowledgment for the cleanliness, safety and presentation of beaches, and has, once again, been officially raised on the beach belonging to Hotel Valamar Dubrovnik President for the 16th time, reports DuList on the 5th of June, 2017.

The flag has been flying proudly since the year 2002, when it was first awarded to the hotel beach, making it the first Dubrovnik hotel beach to receive it.

The Valamar Dubrovnik President Hotel’s beach also fulfilled this year’s demanding criteria, which are the prerequisites for getting ”blue flag recognised” in Croatia, headed by the guidelines of Pokret Lijepa Nasa, which intensely focusses on the safe conditions of beachside comfort and presentation.

Apart from the beautiful design and presentation of the beach itself, the setting up of a rescue tower, the employment of professionally trained lifeguards, the perfect upkeep of very high hygiene criteria and the provision of sanitary facilities for people with disabilities, constant attention has been paid to the purity and cleanliness of the sea, which is one of the most important conditions which must be met when it comes to obtaining this valuable international award.

Congratulations, Valamar Dubrovnik President!
