William Shakespeare’s ”Macbeth” at Marin Drzic Theatre

William Shakespeare’s timeless ”Macbeth” to take the stage at Marin Drzic Theatre in Dubrovnik this Sunday.

Undoubtedly one of the genius English playwrights most beloved and well known works is the twisted story of Macbeth, performed internationally in different languages and in different styles – a running favourite in Dubrovnik.

At 19:00 on Sunday the 7th of May 2017, Shakespeare’s ”Macbeth” will be performed at Dubrovnik’s Marin Drzic Theatre in the heart of the Old City. Matko Srsen’s production was created in the year when the world marked the 400th anniversary of the death of England’s literary prodigy.

Done in an unusual and entirely different way, three different actors will take on the role of the psychologically damaged and guilt ridden Macbeth, bringing the extraordinary story to life from an angle rarely seen.
