An eye-watering sum of money has been directed at works on Batala port

On Friday the 19th of May, 2017, Glas Grada reported that the Director of the County Port Authority, Zeljko Dadic, has stated that work has finally begun at Batala port, and that a pontoon next to the planned site of the works will be placed next week. The public contract for the works was signed with the contractors Matinetek NCP, agreeing that the company be paid 8.4 million kunas.

Works on the area, which has since long been preparing, will pick up where they left off following the end of the established tourist season, after which the long-awaited project aims to be completed.

Upon completion, the newly renovated and rebuilt area will allow for more accommodation of vessels.
