You’d think that since Korčula is known for two of Croatia’s most popular white wines, the wine tasting on the island would entail one of the best wine experiences Croatia can offer. While Korčula is famous for its white wines, Pošip and Grk, visitors can also enjoy Rukatac and Plavac Mali on the island. Most of the wineries on Korčula island are family-owned and operated, and it is even said that the village of Lumbarda has been making wine for 2,000 years! The most famous wineries to visit on the island are PZ Pošip Čara, Krajančić, Branimir Cebalo, Batistić-Zure, and Toreta.
