Pelješac Wine Tour

Daniela Rogulj

Just across from the island of Korčula you’ll meet the gateway to some of Croatia’s greatest wines – the Pelješac peninsula. Famous for Dingač and Postup, the first and second protected wine regions in Croatia, you’d imagine that this peninsula is the perfect place for a wine tour – and you’re right. Along rural roads, steep cliffs, and stunning scenery, visitors to the area can experience many roadside and family-owned and operated wineries on their wine-driven adventure.

Some of the most notable wineries to visit in Pelješac are Korta Katarina, Saints Hills, Miloš, Matuška, and Grgić.

Getting there

From Korčula, take the passenger or car ferry over to Orebić. This ride will only take you 15-20 minutes. Once you’re in Orebić, you can rent a car to enjoy the peninsula yourselves, or look into joining one of the many organized tours on offer from the local tourist agencies.
