How to Buy Ferry Tickets from Split

Total Croatia News

Do you know how to buy ferry tickets from Split?

Remember when buying a ferry ticket in Croatia was not as simple as a click online? And remember when lining up at the Jadrolinija ticket booth in the early morning hours was the standard to ensure you’d make it to your favorite island destination?

Lucky for you, those days are long gone – and in 2018, ferry tickets can be purchased at your favorite Jadrolinija booth in Split AND online!

Here’s a look at how to buy ferry tickets from Split to Hvar, Brac, Solta, Makarska, Vis, Korcula, Mljet, Dubrovnik, and Ancona, Italy.

How to buy ferry tickets from Split

There are three Jadrolinija sales booths (which also sell Krilo tickets).

The first Jadrolinija office is located on the bottom floor of the new Tourist Palace facing Diocletian’s Palace; the second on the dock protruding at the centre of the harbour; and the third further down in the main terminal building (you will see a big sign for Imperium on the top floor). Blue Line, which also has ferries to Ancona, also has a ticket office in the main building.

We would recommend purchasing tickets early, as some very popular destinations such as the catamarans to Bol on Brac and Hvar Town sell out.

How to buy ferry tickets from Split online

Tickets can be bought online via Jadrolinija’s website, www.jadrolinija.hr. Even with the option to buy online, the catamarans do tend to sell out well before departure in peak season, especially to top destinations such as Hvar Town – therefore, it is important to plan ahead and buy early! It may help that tickets can only be purchased online 24 hours before the departure time.

For Krilo tickets to Hvar, Korcula, Brac, Makarska, Mljet, and Dubrovnik, you can purchase tickets online at the Krilo website

Important information

The catamarans usually go from the top of the harbour. You’ll find the catamarans if you turn right at Terminal F along the waterfront.

In times of bad weather, the catamarans sometimes do not go, and a judgment call is often taken at 13:00, so either check with the ticket office or speak to the English-speaking staff on +385-21-338333 for the latest information and timetables.

For more information on ferry timetables, check out the Jadrolinija and Krilo website.
