I have not met John J. Goddard yet (although we have corresponded), but I do like his style.
An American chef and writer, his first step was to bring together the joys of Dalmatian cooking into one excellent tome, and the feedback I have heard about Dalmatian Cooking: Cuisine of the Slavic Mediterranean has been highly positive.
