After 13 Years, O’Hara Music Club is Closing its Doors

Daniela Rogulj

Favorite Split nightclub, rock club, and dance club announces they will be closing their doors after 13 years.

Last night, O’Hara posted on their Facebook page that they would be closing to the public for various reasons, ending their 13 years of dedicated service to Split nightlife.

Here is what the Facebook post read:

“After 13 wonderful years, unfortunately it is time that O’Hara closes its doors. We really tried hard, but we came to no understanding with the City of Split and the OVK Pošk (water polo club where they share the premises) who have not found a solution for the rehabilitation of the building which is their duty as the owners. We believed that in order for O’Hara to have a successful business, we would offer better programs and vocal concerts but that was not the case! However, behind us are a lot of beautiful memories and experiences, and we invite you all to say goodbye and have fun at a big closing concert on Saturday, October 15 with our ‘house’ band TBF, and until then we will have a month of the best entertainment, performers and nights…Find out more in the coming days on our website for daily announcements for the last month of our favorite club. Without you, O’Hara would not exist and therefore a big thank you to everyone who visited us over the years and helped make this excellent club!”

O’Hara ended their statement by saying that they’ve had a wonderful time, the best of times, and nothing will spoil this day (and that they have put together the perfect compliation for the ending show).
