Last week, free workshops were held in the gallery of Klub Kocka in Split where attendees created aesthetically valuable and functional objects from recycled and unnecessary items. The 4-day workshop was attended by as many as 25 people, with the end goal serving a purpose to help those in need.
“Art for a Purpose” kicked off last week under the supervision of graphic designer Monique Laffite and and organizer Andela Prnjak. Attendees to the free workshops donated unneeded items such as broken glass, vases, cloths, and papers in an effort to create functional items that will be donated to the humanitarian effort “MOST”, which will then be given to those in need.
Klub Kocka will be hosting an exhibition of the art creations, with the items on display until Thursday, 17 November after which all items will be donated. The official exhibition opening took place last night.
The exhibition is held in the gallery of Klub Kocka. Come on out to support a good cause!
