Croatian Design Stores: The Way to Shop in Split

Daniela Rogulj

Here’s a scenario: You’re on holiday, you’re in Split, and you so desperately want to find a one of kind souvenir to bring to your family and friends back home. Rather than opt for the easy knock off Croatian football jersey or the vials of lavender oil that may very well spill in your luggage (don’t get us wrong, we love the lavender oil), why don’t you have a look at some of the uber cool and ever so unique Croatian design stores we have in the city?

Croata: The cravat is a neckband and the forerunner of the modern tailored necktie and bow tie, originating from 17th-century military unit known as the Croats. At Croata, you can find a rich display of ties and scarves, all made from the finest silks. In addition to the unique designs you’ll find at Croata’s shops, there is also a shop museum intended to showcase the local heritage. Croata is located at Krešimirova 11 (Peristil) and Mihovilova širina 7 (Voćni trg).

Get Get Get: A store where everything is “made in Croatia”, Get Get Get is a small designer shop run by a group of Croatian artists, carrying everything from clothing to handbags, and jewelry to books. At Get Get Get, you can find the works of academic painters, photographers, and architects. Get Get Get is located in the center at Dominisova 16.

Think Pink: A concept shop that opened back in 2004, at Think Pink you can find original clothing, shoes and jewelry, all made by Croatian designers. Think Pink is located at Zadarska 8 and at (J-2) Marulićeva 1.

Arterija: A cult boutique in Split, Arterija is a fashion design store that carries clothing, jewelry and accessories. The collection is updated regularly and also promotes the works of some of Croatia’s best designers. Arterija is located at Morpurgova poljana 1.

Koza Unikati: At Koza Unikata, you wll find timeless male and female first-class leather bags, wallets, purses and belts, all designed by the Zoričić family in Croatia.
