Donate blood tomorrow to save a life – and get a few perks, too!
If you’re in Split, you may have noticed social media posts sharing information that KBC Split Firule hospital is currently in a blood shortage. Thus, all operations have been temporarily postponed until the hospital has a sufficient amount to proceed. In an effort to save a life, all Split citizens are being called to donate blood tomorrow between the hours of 7:30-18:00 at KBC Split Firule hospital.
If good karma is not incentive enough for you, not only can you get to Firule and back for FREE with Uber tomorrow, but Break Time Nautical, located in the heart of Split, is offering a special perk for donors, too.
“We have just learnt that there is a blood shortage at KBC Split Firule and that situation is so serious that surgeries have been postponed. This is why we want to urge anyone willing to donate blood, aged 18 to 65 and in good health, who are in Split tomorrow, to go to KBC Split Department of Medical Transfusions on the ground floor from morning until 6 pm. We also want to offer a free gift for each person that donates blood tomorrow – so any tomorrow or until the end of this week, you can come to our shop in Trogirska ulica 8, Split with the proof that you have donated blood on 19.07 at KBC Split and you will receive a free key-ring from us,” says the Break Time Split team.
Break Time employee Mija Vujčić shared why she stood behind the effort and donated blood today:
“It does not cost me anything, but it can save someone’s life, and that is priceless. And that makes me feel honored because I could do it”
