Need a place to watch the World Cup final on Sunday?
The Office of the City of Split has sent the following statement:
‘The City of Split, the Tourist Board of the City of Split and Split-Dalmatia County, in agreement with the organizer, decided to expand the existing Fan Zone at Đardin to double the capacity. Also, the Tourist Board will allow fans to follow the World Cup final on the Riva with better technical conditions and an appropriate music program.
By the decision of Mayor Andro Krstulović Opara, Split on Sunday will be covered in the flags of the Republic of Croatia – on the Riva and all major roads – as for national holidays. This is a holiday and sport and communion, so all Split people are invited to contribute to this great success of our football players by hanging flags in their windows and balconies, as well as in other ways, but to also look at themselves, their fellow citizens, and their city in celebration. Let’s enjoy the historical success that confirms that in communion, anything can be achieved in the world.’
