First in Croatia: Split Parking Launches Pay by Card Parking!

Daniela Rogulj

Great news for Split drivers!

A new card payment for parking at the Riva and another 15 locations in the City of Split has been introduced to simplify and speed up parking payments for citizens and tourists at some of the most frequented areas, reports Dalmacija Danas on September 26, 2017.

The good news was announced by company ‘Split Parking’ who wishes to reach the standards of street parking payments all major cities in Europe and the world have accomplished.

On the Riva, visitors can choose to use their card as a payment to the cashier when exiting the parking lot, while another 15 locations are also now equipped with payment by card. Contactless payments are also accepted.

The payment process is more than simple. After selecting the amount of time visitors plan to leave their car parked, they will painlessly insert their card into the payment box provided. Cards that are accepted for parking are Visa / Visa Electron, V PAY, Mastercard and Maestro.

By introducing card payments, this will also enable those visiting Split to pay with ease as many have not been able to pay via SMS because they did not have a SIM card fit for Croatian mobile operators.

This is just one of the many steps Split Parking is taking to help improve the quality of traffic in Split while providing citizens with the fastest and most efficient service.

Card payment stations are placed at the following parking areas:
