Squawka, the home of football, transfer, and club news, chooses the five best and worst football kits released last week.
Football fans have been flooded with new kit announcements over the last few weeks, and many fans are either jumping with joy or crying a river over their team’s newest fit.
Hajduk Split fans are lucky, however, as they have just been rewarded with stunning new home and away kits for the upcoming 2017/2018 season. And the best part? One of their jersey’s, in particular, received the Squawka seal of approval on July 10, 2017.
“At first glance, this is just a grey shirt but when you look closer, Hajduk’s third kit is a fan-oriented masterpiece. This shirt was the culmination of a campaign where they asked fans to pay 1911 kuna (the year Hajduk were formed) to become a club member.”
With these words, the prestigious British football portal Squawka explained their inclusion of Hajduk’s third jersey, which has the names of forever Hajduk fans, among the 5 most beautiful in the world. The new jersey was presented last week for the 2017/18 season, and even placed better (4th) than the new Manchester United home jersey for next season (5th).
The third Hajduk jersey is the result of the successful action “Either we are or we are not,” which saw more than 2,000 donors in just 40 days rush to give 1911 HRK to the club that they live for. While the donors received their names on the jersey, they also participated in the selection of the jersey design.
