In 2015, Splićani were lucky enough to witness one of the last concerts between arguably the largest Croatian singer-songwriter, composer and poet Arsen Dedić, and his son Matija, a world renowned pianist. After Arsen’s passing in August of 2015, this event was made even more remarkable, memorable, and important for the arts and music in Split.
In good spirits we celebrate the first anniversary of last year’s concert, unfortunately with the absence of the legendary Arsen. Arsen’s spirit is alive and present through Matija Dedić’s piano notes and passionate playing. Paying true and authentic instrumental homage to Arsen, we present to you “Matija svira Arsena” at HNK Split on Sunday, May 22nd.
Although in physical absence of the great father Arsen, the concert will be under his umbrella and under the same company of organizers as last year, Colnago Ltd. (Colnago Wine & Music). Throughout the concert, Matija will also be in the company of some of the best music names in the region today, and of course, the current Split music scene. This guest list is full of fresh and magnetic artists, and there will also be some surprise guests who will unite in Split to thrive under the creative ecstasy that Arsen left his successors.
Led through the authority and family legacy of Matija Dedić, this creative endeavor will provide a unique musical experience to the art and music enthusiasts of Split.
Tickets are availble at the HNK box office. Ticket prices are varying, depending on the category, but range from 150 to 200 kuna.
