Have you checked out Silk Street Food in Split yet?
We know you’ve heard us raving quite a bit about Split’s newest fast food joint, Silk. But Silk is not just any fast food go-to – it’s a street food sanctuary for Asian fusion enthusiasts… and it’s served fast.
After their first location opened in the town of Korčula a few years ago, the heart of June saw Silk’s second location open in the Dalmatian capital, and it’s only fair to say that since then, the crowds have not stopped chasing the smells of Asian cuisine.
While Silk offers staples such as Pad Thai, a variety of piping hot gyoza, red curry, crispy baby squid with lime and chili, crispy pork belly, or chicken karaage, some of the perks of the summer menu have been the daily specials Silk’s been pushing out.
For example, on our visit to Silk last week, we opted for trying the salmon tataki salad with sesame and coriander dressing – a recommendation by the owner. And boy, are we glad that we did.
An explosion of freshness in the perfectly pink pieces of salmon, a cool and crisp coriander dressing which had just the right amount of tang, and a flawless presentation which added all of the shock value needed – yes, it really is that good.
If you have yet to try Silk, here’s hoping we can entice you with the video below.
